My Story
Hello, my name is Viv. A little about me – I have been in love with photography from a very young age; attempting to do as my dad did, our family photographer. I have that role in my own family of 7, and over the years, taken thousands of photos. In the mid-2000s, I started taking maternity and family photographs for several coworkers and family members. People started telling me I should be a professional photographer. I thought, “why not?” I love photography, all and any type of photography. The problem was, once I started, I wanted to specialize professionally, and it was very difficult to choose one genre of photography that I fully commit to – I really do adore a well-taken photograph! Because I had children, I focused on family and children portraiture & lifestyle. Although I enjoyed it, it never really took off, and it never felt like it was my calling, and I couldn’t really understand why.
Fast forward to 2017 – I stumbled across a boudoir photographer who taught the art and business of boudoir photography. At one point, she advised on having a mission to your photography, and that is when it hit me. It really resonated that in pursuing boudoir photography, I really had a beautiful opportunity to help women. I really had an opportunity to help myself as well. In all the ways I could help women, so could I help myself because I too have many of the same struggles.
